London based saxophonist Chelsea Carmichael made her debut on Native Rebel Recordings under the wings of the great Shabaka Hutchings. She is seen as one of the brightest rising stars of the UK jazz scene. Drenched in her Caribbean roots and with her fabulous band beside her, she easily switches from spiritual jazz to dub reggae, and from post-bop to calypso. An absolute must-see!
